Movie Central

Paul, the 2011 science fiction film premieres this Saturday on Movie Central. I’m not the biggest sci-fi fan but I really enjoyed this one. The film stars Simon Pegg (as Graeme) and Nick Frost (as Clive). The duo also co-wrote the film as a tribute to some of their favourite Steven Spielberg blockbuster hits such as E.T. the Extra Terrestrial and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Paul, voiced by Seth Rogen, is an alien on the run having been deemed dangerous and useless by the government after tapping him as a resource for scientific achievements. Graeme and Clive, visiting from England, are on the road to attend the annual Comic-Con International in San Diego when they witness a crash that brings the trio together for a journey to remember. Keep an eye (or an ear) out for Spielberg’s cameo!

This weekend’s lineup also includes the 2010 drama film Bloodworth, premiering tomorrow night on Movie Central. Enjoy this weekend’s movie premieres!
