This affecting drama, set in 1960s Detroit, is based on the true story of college professor and part-time inventor Robert Kearns and his long battle with the U.S. automobile industry. Kearns invents a device that would be used by every car in the world. When corporate giants refuse to recognize his ingenuity, he fights to receive recognition for his ingenuity. This modern-day David vs. Goliath story is at times devastating though ultimately inspiring.
