The Canadian feature Polytechnique, which premieres Sunday on Movie Central, won the 2009 Rogers Best Canadian Film Award from the Toronto Film Critics Association on January 12. The award comes with a $10,000 cash prize, which was presented to director Denis Villeneuve by David Cronenberg.

The film, which also placed on The Toronto Film Festival Group’s top 10 list this year, takes an unflinching look at the 1989 Montreal Massacre and has inspired both critical acclaim and controversy. Check out our schedule to find out when Polytechnique is playing this month.
